B.C. pharmacists able to prescribe for contraception and more minor ailments

As of June 1, B.C. pharmacists will be able to prescribe contraception and medication for more minor ailments. Pharmacists will need to undergo certification to be allowed to prescribe, and the province hopes this will relieve some pressure on primary care physicians.
