Nova Scotia wildfires: Wooded areas of municipal parks closed, warning against burning outdoors, mayor says

While providing an update on the wildfires burning outside of Halifax on Wednesday, Mayor Mike Savage said local municipalities have closed the wooded areas of parks. Mayor Savage also said to residents: “Don’t burn. No blazes at home,” adding that “charges will be laid against those burning outdoors.”
