Turkey election: Erdoğan victory draws mixed reactions from Turkish residents

Voters were divided after Turkey’s incumbent President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan was declared the winner in Sunday’s runoff election, giving him the mandate to rule until 2028. Celebrations erupted among Erdogan’s supporters on Sunday evening, while a day later some Turkish residents expressed disappointment.
