Nowhere is the Alberta leadership race closer right now than it is in “battleground Calgary.” This is especially true in the suburban neighbourhood of the city’s south. And voters in Turkey have decided to stay with the man who has led the country for the past twenty years – Recep Tayyip Erdoğan. In Ukraine, Kyiv has just endured Russia’s largest drone attack of the conflict yet. Plus, former Calgary mayor Naheed Nenshi endorsed NDP Leader Rachel Notley, even showing up at a campaign event with her. In theory, this election should be an easy win for Danielle Smith’s United Conservative Party. But if the polls are right, it’s a tight race.
