Avid cyclist Erin McFarland said on Friday she is hoping to ride 1,000 kilometres and raise a minimum of $2,500 in support of research for children’s cancer. McFarland said this year she’ll be riding for a friend whose son is about to face a second bout with cancer, and she’ll be riding with her niece and nephew whom she taught to cycle.
