Gaspereau fishery ends season early due to conservation, low water levels

The Gasepereau River Square Net Fishery – the oldest regulated fishery in Canada – has ended its season early in a move to conserve Gaspereau fish. As Megan King reports, 1.6 million fish were caught before the voluntary close last Friday, due in part to low water levels.
