Canada’s Opposition leader Pierre Poilievre said on Tuesday that he doesn’t “trust” special rapporteur David Johnston to hold public hearings into allegations of foreign election interference, after Johnston announced his recommendation against a public inquiry. “We don’t trust David Johnston to do public hearings because he is a family friend, cottage neighbour and ski buddy of the prime minister,” Poilievre said in his remarks.
