Josee St-Onge with Alberta Wildfire said on Sunday that while the ongoing wildfires reached the expected high activity they forecast for the weekend, crews were able to build fire guards that continue to hold. She also responded to a question whether a peak could be reached for the crisis, saying it was “too soon to say” when such a peak could be reached. She added with hot and dry conditions persisting, teams will continue to be challenged.
