YMCA Central East Ontario’s adaptive swim program provides life-saving skills to children of all abilities

Swimming and water safety techniques are life skills everyone should grow up with.
But access to that information isn’t always within reach, especially if you’re a child with a disability, or a special need.
In comes the new adaptive swim pilot program at the YMCA of Central East Ontario. It’s a program tailored to every child’s needs, created in response to a need.
Shannon Hunter, regional supervisor of aquatics and camp, joins Noor Ibrahim with more on Global News Morning Peterborough.
