WestJet Chief Commercial Officer John Weatherill announced on Thursday that Winnipeg’s Richardson International Airport will receive new service to Atlanta, Ga. Weatherill said the company is basing the Atlanta route on similar services to Los Angeles, which he said “performed beyond expectations.” Manitoba added that it will be providing $5 million in funding to help support the new routes.
