A number of Ontario MPPs on Wednesday joined dozens of Minden residents in asking the province to intervene in a decision by the Haliburton Highlands Health Services to close the ER in Minden on June 1. Services will be consolidated and moved to the hospital in Haliburton.
Speaking at Queen’s Park after Question Period on Wednesday were NDP MPP France Gelinas, Liberal leader John Fraser and Green Party leader Mike Schreiner.
A petition with 17,000 signatures was presented at Queen’s Park by residents who made the trip on Wednesday.
