Foreign Affairs Minister Mélanie Joly spoke during a parliamentary committee meeting in Ottawa on Thursday, addressing the alleged threats towards Conservative MP Michael Chong and his family. In response, she instructed her Deputy Minister to “summon the Chinese ambassador,” adding that she will “convey to him directly that [they] will not tolerate any form of foreign interference.”
