A new poll by Ipsos conducted exclusively for Global News found that while Canadians want to like King Charles III, a small majority of Canadians prefer Prince William with 53 per cent having a favourability of the Prince of Wales. Ipsos senior vice-president Sean Simpson said Charles may be seen as a sort of “placeholder” until William ascends, and if the monarchy can “get through” Charles’ reign it’ll be in a better public opinion state under William.
