Two more Canadian rescue flights departed Sudan on Friday after a volatile day in the northeast African country. The difficulties Canada is experiencing getting its citizens out of Sudan as officials say the window for airport evacuations is closing. The federal public service strike rages on with picket lines across the country still going strong. But there is some movement in the negotiations after the federal government presented an offer to the union. Prime Minister Justin Trudeau wraps up his trip to New York and the provincial government in B.C. delivers its recommendation about the future of policing in Surrey. Plus, another round of alleged Russian missile strikes has claimed more lives in Ukraine. And a small delegation of RCMP officers meets with King Charles III as he assumes his role as commissioner-in-chief of the Canadian police force.
