Rogers-Shaw deal: Conservatives, NDP accuse ‘Liberal insiders’ of benefiting from telecoms deal

NDP MP Matthew Green and Conservative MP Ryan Williams both accused “Liberal insiders” of benefiting from the recent Rogers-Shaw deal during question period on Monday, with Green giving the example of a former Liberal industry minister being recently hired for a Rogers executive position. Minister of Innovation, Science and Industry François-Philippe Champagne defended the Rogers-Shaw deal by saying that more competition will lead to lower prices.
