Prime Minister Justin Trudeau said Friday that while worldwide countries are facing labour shortages, Canada has attracted investment, such as the Volkswagen EV battery plant in St. Thomas, Ont., because it has shown stronger population growth than other G7 countries. He said the plant would attract workers from across Ontario and the country.
