Self-acceptance seemed out of reach when Joe van Koeverden was diagnosed with Parkinson’s Disease at the age of 59.
Now, 10 years later, he’s found a path through darkness and is ready to help light the way for others. His new book, “Grab the Spark: How My Parkinson’s Journey Sparked My Creativity Through Stories, Poems and Photos” showcases his journey to acceptance and the creative path he followed.
He joined Noor Ibrahim on Global News Morning Peterborough this Parkinson’s Awareness Month to share his story.
