‘We will not be intimidated’: Markham mosque leaders call for government action after alleged hate-motivated attack

The Islamic Society of Markham president Qasir Nasir Khan called for action from the federal and provincial governments on Monday to put an end to Islamophobia after an attack that police are investigating as “hate-motivated.” He called on Premier Doug Ford to ensure the passage of the ‘Our London Family Act’ and on the federal government to expand the federal Security Infrastructure Program, which provides funding and support to communities at risk of hate crime.
