Nova Scotia is extending its rent cap to 2025. A two per cent cap was put in place during the pandemic, and that cap is now being increased to five per cent. Landlords are speaking out against the cap – saying it’s having severe impacts on their business. Alicia Draus reports on why advocates, however, are calling for a permanent form of rent cap.
