Pope Francis called on the faithful not to ignore the suffering and loneliness of others as he presided over a Palm Sunday service at the Vatican. The pontiff, 86, who was discharged from Rome’s Gemelli hospital on Saturday following a bout of bronchitis, said of those who are suffering: “Today their numbers are legion. Entire peoples are exploited and abandoned.”
