TikTok CEO Shou Zi Chew testified at U.S. Congress on Thursday that some ByteDance employees in China have access to legacy U.S. user data that “we need to delete” as part of TikTok’s so-called “Project Texas.” He testified that U.S. user data is controlled by American personnel.
