James Smith First Nation Chief Wally Burns discussed his concerns about public safety in Saskatchewan’s First Nations communities at the Federation of Sovereign Indigenous Nations (FSIN) Wellness Conference on Tuesday. Burns said there was a positive shift in the attitude towards participating in conversation and he hopes the conference, which he called a milestone, will motivate members to invest in community policing and justice.
