While pressed on whether tests blocking Canadian news to some users have primarily targeted journalists, Google Canada head Sabrina Geremia told MPs at the Canadian Heritage Committee in the House of Commons that was “categorically untrue.” Jason Kee, Google Canada’s public policy manager, said previous arrangements with Canadian publishers under the Google News Showcase program “had no bearing on the test.”
