United States Treasury Secretary Janet Yellen appeared before the House Ways and Means Committee Friday to discuss President Biden’s proposed budget for the upcoming fiscal year. Asked specifically about the Silicon Valley Bank crisis, Yellen said “There are recent developments, that concern a few banks that I am monitoring very carefully and when banks experience financial losses, it is, and should be, a matter of concern.”
