Drug testing kits among preventative strategies to reduce overdoses, Winnipeg pharmacist says

Northway Pharmacy Brothers Pharmacy Manager Brett Roland discussed Naloxone kit distribution and overdose treatment on Friday. Roland said that a big part of overdosing comes from not knowing what illicit substances — like fentanyl — might be hiding in a dose of drugs, a risk that could be mitigated by a testing kit. He added that Naloxone kits are available for anyone who uses or knows someone at risk of overdosing.
