Public Safety Minister Marco Mendicino announced the tabling of a new bill on Thursday that would amend parts of the Criminal Code to make it easier for humanitarian organizations to deliver “desperately needed aid” to Afghanistan. Mendicino said under Bill C-41, “stringent measures” to prevent finances from reaching the Taliban will remain in place.
