During a keynote speech to the defence community on Thursday, Defence Minister Anita Anand warned the need to strengthen Canada’s military amid global power disruptions and growing international tensions. “China is an increasingly disruptive global power,” Anand said. “To protect Canadian interests at home and abroad, we must build a Canadian Armed Forces ready for tomorrow.”
