Indigenous traditions, knowledge passed on at 47th annual Elder’s Gathering at Trent

In the 1970’s, Indigenous elders and knowledge keepers gathered at Trent University to share their knowledge in the biggest event of its kind.
47 years later, the tradition continues, in a critical transfer of knowledge that organizers say helps prevent Indigenous culture and traditions from dying out.
Dawn Lavell-Harvard is the director of the First People’s House of Learning. She joined Noor Ibrahim ahead of the three day Elder’s Gathering happening this weekend.
