Chinese foreign ministry spokesperson Mao Ning said on Wednesday that allegations of China’s interference in Canada’s elections are “ridiculous.” Amid reports that Taiwan President Tsai Ing-wen will meet U.S. House Speaker Kevin McCarthy in the U.S., Ning also said China was “seriously concerned” and had asked Washington for clarification.
