Speaking during question period in the House of Commons on Tuesday, New Democrat Party (NDP) Leader Jagmeet Singh demanded that Prime Minister Justin Trudeau call for a public inquiry into foreign interference in Canadian elections and accused him of “playing political games.” In response, Public Safety Minister Marco Mendicino reiterated Trudeau’s statement from Monday that the Liberal government would abide by the recommendations of a special rapporteur.
