Space tourism is an industry poised to explode in the coming decades, as private companies launch everyday people to the stars. But when it comes to supporting these flights and experiences, researchers at Western University in London, Ont. say it’s unclear what medical support is being provided, and how doctors can become licensed to practice medicine in space. As Katherine Ward reports, the question of medical licensing for the final frontier has some potential implications here on earth.
