Speaking before the Procedure and House Affairs Committee on Thursday, Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs at Global Affairs Canada David Morrison told the committee that there was no evidence of a “spike” in foreign election interference n the 2021 election, prompting MP Michael Cooper to reply that he found that “hard to believe” considering recent reporting from outlets including Global News on the briefing the Prime Minister received before the 2019 and 2021 federal election.
