It has been a highlight year for the pride of Peterborough, 16-year-old fiddling phenom Millie Shadgett. Her trio ‘The Receivers’ is up for Young Performers of The Year at the 2023 Canadian Folk Music Awards at the end of March. And on her own, Millie is basking in the excitement of the release of “Dandelion Trilogy,” a tune she wrote when she was 15 but has already been heard by international audiences. Teresa Kaszuba welcomed her to Global News Morning Peterborough for a first-hand performance from the young star.
