The United Nations is sounding the alarm about a cholera outbreak in north-west Syria following deadly earthquakes on Feb. 6 in Turkey and Syria, and after a fresh earthquake rocked the region on Monday. Ghada Eltahir Mudawiwill, UN Deputy Director, operations and advocacy division, office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs, said 47,000 cases of cholera had been counted in the region.
