Sunday’s second day of racing at the Australia Sail Grand Prix has been cancelled because of damage to boats in “a major weather event,” SailGP said. SailGP CEO Russell Coutts said that the wind gust that came through Sydney Harbour after the racing on Saturday was “almost hurricane strength.” The Canadian wing sail was blown into a marquee as it was lifted by a crane and crashed to the ground as workers and spectators scattered.
