Manitoba justice minister, Kelvin Goertzen, provided an update on his push for bail reform on Friday, saying the federal justice minister has agreed to consider changes to the bail system. Goertzen said that Manitoba prosecutors are having difficulty securing dangerous offenders who committed violent acts due to amendments to the criminal code contained in Bill C-75 in 2019.
