During Wednesday’s question period, Conservative MPs called on Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau and his parliamentary secretary, Hull-Aylmer MP Greg Fergus, to resign after Fergus was found to have broken ethics laws by writing a letter supporting a television channel’s application to the CRTC for mandatory carriage. Government House Leader Mark Holland defended Trudeau’s parliamentary secretary, saying he had apologized for writing the letter and said the “level of his mistake absolutely does not warrant him resigning.”
