Tyler McGregor, a para ice hockey champion, stopped by Regina’s Echo Lake ice trail on Thursday to skate 42 kilometres in an effort to pay tribute to Terry Fox and raise $100,000 for the Terry Fox Foundation. McGregor was diagnosed with spindle cell sarcoma in 2010 and underwent eight months of chemotherapy and the amputation of his left leg. He plans to skate 42 kilometres in every province during his Sledge Skate of hope tour.
