Global BC Arts & Culture Scene: Exploring a project to preserve Indigenous song

Global’s Yvonne Schalle visits the Bill Reid Gallery in Vancouver to learn about “Keeping the Song Alive” – an exhibit looking at the groundbreaking work of hereditary Chiefs Billy Assu and Mungo Martin and ethnomusicologist Ida Halpern to record the ceremonial music of the potlatch in the 1950s.
