The number of overdose and poisoning calls paramedics responded to in 2022 was down B.C. wide. But that drop is being led by the Lower Mainland and Fraser Valley. In the Interior call volumes were up, and among all B.C. communities, Kelowna had the fourth most calls for overdoses and poisonings last year.
