Kerienne La France, supervisor of forestry services with the City of Winnipeg, spoke on Wednesday following an announcement by the federal government to invest over $35 million to plant over 10 million trees. La France said that she expects the city will be able to plant 14,000 trees, which is a greater number than in previous years.
