UBC apologizes for response to article questioning Turpel-Lafond’s academic claims, indigenous ancestry

UBC is apologizing for how it responded to concerns about former employee, judge and children’s advocate Mary Ellen Turpel-Lafond. In a statement on the university’s website, UBC says its response was insufficient and it pledges to review its hiring process for indigenous scholars.
