Manitoba announces new measures to combat truancy

Manitoba Education Minister Wayne Ewasko announced new policy directives for school divisions on Monday to help reduce chronic absenteeism. Ewasko said that health is a priority but “case managers” will confirm and document absences due to illness or other family matters.
