The spotlight is currently on the atrocities happening in Iran , with a revolutionary movement against the ruling Islamic Republic still very much alive. Since the nationwide uprisings against the regime began in mid-September, Amnesty International says nearly 100 kids have been killed with impunity, dozen of others badly hurt with life-altering injuries. Dr. Kamiar Alaei, who along with his brother Dr. Arash Alaei, established MAHSA Medical Society, is documenting those cases. Dr. Alaei shared the stories of two kids attacked, one a 14-year-old girl from Kurdistan, left in a coma after allegedly being beaten by the regime’s forces.
