Following Buffalo Bills’ rising football star Damar Hamlin’s cardiac arrest during a game, his doctors said on Thursday that while he remains on a ventilator, he can communicate through writing. Dr. Timothy Pritts and Dr. William Knight also said while there are “many steps” ahead of Hamlin in his recovery, the medical team would like to see him breathe without assistance as an immediate step.
