Only a small fraction of the pre-war population remains in the village of Orikhiv in Ukraine’s Zaporizhzhia region, located near the front line of the war and suffers daily shelling by Russian forces. “For the last 10 months there’s been no electricity, gas, or water. Everything is destroyed,” Ukrainian soldier Maksym said.
