A celebration was held Sunday at springer market square to mark the occasion. The Kingston Jewish council invited residents of the city to “Light up the night”—with the traditional lighting of the menorah and food such as potato latkes along with hot chocolate. For each of the eight days of Hanukkah, families will light a candle on the menorah.
