Peterborough city council votes down homeless drop-in centre for second time despite public backlash

A motion to help fund a drop-in centre for the homeless at Trinity United Church in Peterborough was struck down by city council on Monday night after being brought to General Committee for a second time. Despite public backlash and dropping temperatures, no emergency winter response has been put in place for Peterborough’s unhoused.
