Michael Allen, District Attorney for Colorado’s fourth judicial district, said the previous case against the alleged suspect in a shooting at a Colorado Springs LGBTQ nightclub was dismissed because the victims in that case couldn’t be served with a subpoena to appear in court. He added that an extreme risk protection order obtained under Colorado’s red flag laws “would not have prevented” the tragic shooting in November.
