Colorado Springs nightclub shooting: Weapons seized in previous case against alleged shooter never returned, DA says

Michael Allen, District Attorney for Colorado’s fourth judicial district, said Thursday that weapons seized in a previous case against the alleged suspect in a shooting at an LGBTQ nightclub in Colorado Springs were never returned. He said the felony charges laid in the case would have been more successful than an extreme risk protection order because the “lawful transfer” of firearms was prohibited for more than a year while the case was pending.
